Has it been in a humid environment? I tuned a Masterworks for a friend this weekend at a festival and it was nearly a whole step higher, as he hadn't tuned it or played it for quite a while and it was really humid at the festival.

Hi all!
Thanks to Linda Lowe Thompson for answering my earlier question about the
Lee Spears. I really appreciate it.

I have another question though! I also acquired a Russell Cook (*not*
labeled Master Works from 1988) "Soprano" it says on the label. It's a 12/11
which I thought should have the lowest note as middle C and then on up as
normal. Somehow the lovely little instrument was tuned to C#!! The whole
thing nearly an half step higher! I was surprised it hadn't pulled itself
apart. Then I thought maybe it was supposed to be tuned to D.

Anyone know? I called Master Works yesterday but their offices were closed -
darned time difference!!

Thanks again.

Patti
