One the musicians involved was a santoor player, Seenu M.,  in Chennai, India.

If you haven't seen Playing for Change before, they record with video different musicians in different locations

around the world all adding hteir tracks to the same recording. 

This one one two female singers - one in New York and one in Kingston, Jamaica, 

plus Taj Mahal in New York, plus instrumentalists from Japan, India, Senegal, California, 

New Orleans and more.
