|George, I didn't know there were HD players in LV. Sara and I just got back from 10 days in Las Vegas and Death Valley. |
We don't gamble, but go out to Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Death Valley, etc., and this time rented a jeep in Death Valley and drove through Titus Canyon. Slot canyons, instead of the canyons of slots on the Strip.

The Eagle's music is some of my most favorite to play. Nothing like Peaceful, Easy Feeling; Desperado; and Tequila Sunrise!!!! Thinking about it may be reason enough to make me retune my badly out of tune instrument which I have put off doing for half a year now. And perhaps it's getting about time to order the sheet music for about another ten past popular songs which I could never find but love.

I've been thinking about putting up more of both Colonel Bogey and Liberty Bell, since one was a movie theme and paraody song, and the other was the theme for Monty Python. Interesting that a British TV show would have picked a March by an American composer. But Sousa wasn't called "The March King" for nothing.
Also, the original BBC broadcasts of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" used as its theme song, "Journey of the Sorcerer" by the American rock group, The Eagles. For another song, the Eagles are memorialized by a very small city park in Winslow, Arizona. THe park consists of a street corner, a statue of a man with a guitar case standing on the corner, and a trompe l'oeil paiting of the window reflection of a gir in a flat bed Ford slowing down to get a look at him.
